DupliPose is an innovative iPhone application designed to enhance the capture of before-and-after images through its unique RepliPose templates. This functionality allows users to create standardized photos, making it easier to monitor various transformations, such as those resulting from plastic surgery, weight loss, cosmetic alterations, as well as other bodily and facial changes. The app can also serve as a useful tool for documenting broader transformations, including home remodeling or seasonal environmental adjustments.

A frequent challenge in the creation of before-and-after photographs is achieving consistency in poses, often hindered by factors such as self-capture and awkward positioning. These issues may arise when individuals take “selfies” to maintain privacy or avoid embarrassment. The added task of holding the camera or managing a timed shot can distort these images, complicating accurate assessment of changes. DupliPose addresses these challenges by employing RepliPose templates that allow users to align their poses more effectively, whether with or without assistance from another person. This application respects personal privacy while ensuring a modest approach to capturing images.

Utilizing both the front-facing camera with adjustable lighting options and the rear-facing camera for optimized viewing, DupliPose enables users to take control of their photography without the need for assistance. This tool is particularly beneficial for individuals undergoing significant physical changes—whether for aesthetic purposes or fitness routines—and can also be effectively applied to document improvements in residential spaces or showcase identical subjects in varied settings.

Although primarily designed for capturing anatomical changes, the application is versatile enough to document still objects or any subject matter. Configurations for comparison images vary based on camera orientation:
